Man was created in the image of God, in His likeness, by a direct creative act of God and did not come into being as the result of evolution . God created man to glorify Him, to enjoy His fellowship, and carry out His will and purpose on the earth. But, after the creation, the whole human race fell with the sin of the Adam. Death, both physical and spiritual, entered into the world as a result of this sin.
This spiritual death has been transmitted to the entire human race, the God-Man, Jesus, the Christ alone being excepted; and hence every child of Adam is born into the world with a nature which not only possesses no spark of divine life, but is essentially and unchangeably bad [evil] apart from divine grace. Man’s nature was thus corrupted and he is utterly lost; totally incapable of saving himself and coming back into a right relationship with God by his own merit or effort.
All men, until they accept the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior, are lost, darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God through the sin that is in them, hardened in their hearts, morally and spiritually dead. They cannot see, nor enter the Kingdom of God until they are born again through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
